I have a few minutes to just be right now. So instead of starting the new book I have, I thought I'd do a quick blog post and sip some coffee.
It's been quite the week here, losing one uncle last week, and the day after his funeral, I lost another one. I went from having twelve uncles to being left with just two. Pile on some other stuff happening, and it's a perfect storm for exacerbations.
I am already noticing more balance issues, I mentioned the eye twitch already, and I have to rest more often (as if I didn't take long enough to do stuff). I'm choosing to write while I can because I'm not sure how bad I'm going to feel in the coming days and weeks.
The weather is amazing today. It's 67° and sunny here in Buffalo, NY. November 3, and it's that warm.
Today is election day, and for the first time ever, I'm considering not voting. I'm the one who votes in primaries, and school board elections. I voted when we lived in Illinois. As soon as I turned 18, I registered to vote; it was that important to me.
It's not that I don't want to vote, it's that I really need to conserve my energy for tonight and the next few days. Do I push through voting, and risk running out of steam tonight? This is a question I haven't fully answered yet.
I'll let you know whether I voted.
